A Special Mother's Day
Mother's Day was incredibly special this year for the women residing at the FavorHouse shelter. Many members of our community wanted to show their love and support through providing an outstanding meal in celebration of Mother's Day. A heartfelt thank you to Holly James, Christina Alsop,
Taxie Lambert, Judy VandenBerg, Carolyn Williams, Maureen White,
Geraldine Vaurigaud, Elizabeth Royappa, Arelia Laster, Emma Miller, and Rebecca & Kaya Sathre. Thank you Terry Pate, for volunteering to help set out the meal. Thank you all for being a part of a very special day!
Navy Fed Consumer Loans Team
This awesome group from Navy Federal Credit Union packed the last box and filled the garage to bursting. Now we can check packing up the Kid's Center off of our To-Do list! All the super hard work is done thanks to many volunteer groups over the last few months.
Thank you Navy Fed Consumer Loans Team for kicking off Phase 2 of the FavorHouse Kid's Center Revitalization Project!!
Now it's time to assemble a volunteer committee to coordinate the revitalization of the FavorHouse Kid's Center. If you'd like to help design and furnish the Kid's Center, contact Jennifer Hill at Jennifer@Favorhouse.org.

A Personal Experience for Mother's Day
FavorHouse shelter and outreach participants were pampered with a fabulous personal shopping experience on May 9th. Personally assisted by a volunteer local Cabi Representative, each participant shopped for, tried on, and took home a HUGE bag of brand new Cabi outfits along with bras, panties, socks, pajamas, and accessories. Brand new designer shoes were generously donated by the Lee Tracy Boutique. The Pensacola Association of Realtors assembled to lovingly collect hundreds of donations and gift 70 bags of self-care items and toiletries. The Beta Club at Washington High School contributed cosmetic bags with skin care products and cosmetics. A big Thank You to Cabi Rep Marlynda Tibbetts-Parulski for making this party happen and to Cabi and Marly's many generous friends for donating over $15,000 in merchandise to this impactful event.
One of the participants texted her FavorHouse advocate and said, "I just wanted to say Thank you for inviting me to the event, I was trying on the clothes again and I just feel really good and confident looking in the mirror. It was a true blessing, I had a lot of fun - a new experience with a personal shopper "

Renew, Energize, Donate
Every second Thursday of May, Keller Williams agents, leadership members, and associates step away from daily business duties, proudly donning their red KW gear, and venturing into the communities they serve with three goals in mind: Renew, Energize, Donate.
On May 11th, more than 40 Keller Williams agents and employees descended on FavorHouse to make a major impact on multiple facilities. Car loads of donations of food, paper products, toiletries and more were fastidiously unloaded and stacked high. The Keller Williams team worked together like a well-oiled machine and beautified the facilities with repairs, pressure washing, yard work, painting, cleaning and replacing two old deteriorating picnic tables with brand new ones! Thank you Bertha Mecias for coordinating this incredible day.
Economic Empowerment

It can take some time for victims of abuse to be ready to leave.
Leaving an abusive relationship has many obstacles - Safety, Financial Issues, Children, Pets, Isolation, Lack of Support... the list goes on. The Ask an Advocate video series allows people to ask questions and get answers in a passive and anonymous way. No judgement and No pressure. The goal of this service is to provide easy access to assistance through multiple avenues. Being in an abusive relationship is difficult enough. Getting help shouldn't be.

Economic Empowerment
Dating violence is more common than you may think, especially among teens and young adults: 1 in 3 U.S. teens will experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse from someone they’re in a relationship with before they become adults. And nearly half (43%) of U.S. college women report experiencing violent or abusive dating behaviors.
Join FavorHouse in our mission to prevent abuse by empowering teens to set healthy boundaries and learn the signs of control and manipulation.
