FavorHouse Volunteers Rule!
At FavorHouse of Northwest Florida, Volunteers are essential to ensure that victims of domestic violence are advocated for, empowered, welcomed, and supported while they are receiving services to build a new life for themselves and their children.

Volunteer Orientation
Thank you for sharing your time and talents to support victims of intimate partner violence! Volunteers make a big difference in the quality of services that FavorHouse is able to provide to residents of Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. There are many ways to be involved and make a positive difference.
Types of Volunteers
FavorHouse has "external" and "internal" volunteers. External Volunteers help out with maintenance, organization, events, committees, and office duties. These volunteers may be exposed to confidential information, but do not work one-on-one with FavorHouse participants. Internal Volunteers work either one-on-one or in a group setting with survivors as they build their new life free of abuse. Internal volunteers are regularly exposed to confidential information and require a level 2 background check, finger printing, and comprehensive training. It costs $65 for FavorHouse to process each internal volunteer for fingerprinting. There is no charge for the volunteer, though a donation to help offset the cost is appreciated.
Applications can be found with the volunteer forms.
In the Volunteer Handbook, learn about the programs and services that FavorHouse provides to victims. There is an opportunity to receive training within each of these areas to make a direct impact on survivors as an "internal" volunteer.
Volunteer Groups
FavorHouse can accommodate small and large group volunteer projects. Email your volunteer group requests to Volunteer Coordinator, Jennifer Hill at Jennifer@FavorHouse.org to schedule your group project. Two weeks advance notice is appreciated.
Youth Volunteers
FavorHouse loves to see youth involvement in volunteerism, advocacy, and philanthropy. While you have to be 18 years or older to be an "internal" volunteer, volunteers 10-17 years old are welcome to help with an accompanying responsible adult for any "external" volunteer roles.
