Who Wants to Make a Difference?
If you've thought about getting involved but haven't because of, you know, life; we highly recommend coming to one of our quarterly volunteer orientations. There are opportunities to get involved in a variety ways that can suit any time availability. At orientation, you will learn more about FavorHouse and the many ways we count on our volunteers. From cooking a meal in your own home for the people in our emergency shelter to attending CORE competency training and answering crisis hotline calls, you can make a incredible difference in the lives of survivors and their children. Come and find out how!

Going the Extra Mile
New FavorHouse Volunteer, Tara Lewis started Transitioning Thru Trauma to Triumph to make an impact in the lives of people working through trauma and hardships with a goal of building a better life. Last month, Tara organized and hosted an event at Casks and Flights in Downtown Pensacola to raise awareness and collect donations for FavorHouse. FavorHouse Executive Director, Tracie Hodson, was able to attend the event and was blown away by the love and compassion shown by everyone who attended to support Tara.
"When someone is passionate about making a difference, their passion becomes contagious" said Tracie, referring to the supporters gathered at Tara's event.
Thank you, Tara, for your passion and for going the extra mile in support of FavorHouse!

Looking for Committee Members
We have big plans to revitalize the FavorHouse Kids Center into the FavorHouse Family Education Center and we need your help. The new family center will become the hub of educational and recreational activities for domestic violence survivors and their children. We are looking for committed volunteers to unite and create a new design plan for the center and launch our adopt-a-room initiative. The committee will also work together to reach out to community members to get fun activities and educational workshops on the Family Center event calendar.
Join us tomorrow and leave a legacy by helping build this amazing new program.

Independence Day
Empowering survivors to become independent of their abusers is kind of our thing here at FavorHouse. We'd like to make this Independence Day a big deal for the people beginning their re-building journey with us from the safety of our shelter. You can be a part of this celebration by supporting our 4th of July BBQ themed potluck! Click the button below to see our potluck sign-up form. Please drop off dishes at the Pensacola Outreach Office at 2001 W. Blount St. on Friday, June 30th from 9:00am - 4:30pm. The BBQ Party at the shelter will be held the next day, Saturday July 1st. Thank you for showing love through food!

Economic Empowerment
Is independence really independence without financial independence? The short answer is, no. You don't have to be a domestic violence survivor to learn money management. FavorHouse provides financial literacy workshops FREE to everyone in our community. Workshops happen weekly on Wednesdays from 9am-11am. Click the button below to sign-up for the next Zoom Workshop.

Summer Daze
Summer is here and YOU can help by donating some summer fun to the children we serve at our shelter. We are in need of outdoor activities to make sure that our kids aren't cooped up all summer! Bringing in a pack of popsicles, a kick ball, or a sprinkler for the kids to run through will help keep the little ones busy and having fun! Please bring donations to 2001 W. Blount St. in Pensacola or 6480 Hwy. 90, Suite B in Milton.

Wish List
